20/06/08 Skateistan is Afghanistan’s first dedicated co-educational skateboarding school. The school will engage with the growing numbers of urbanised youth in Kabul through skateboarding and provide new opportunities in cross-cultural interaction and education. Check their site and give support.

20/06/08 Skate-o-Rama 3, the music and skateboard event takes place on Saturday, 5th July, at Wellholme Park, Brighouse. Comps to enter, prizes to win, and demos of other urban sports to watch and try. Check out the flyer and say hi to the Rubicon crew while you're there.

18/06/08 Rubicon will be on hand at CASE 2008 - a free extreme sports event for young people from Corsham, Chippenham, Calne and surrounding villages. Skate, BMX, Parkour, music - all day on the 27th September, check out the website for more details.

16/06/08 The National Adventure Sports Show (NASS) 2008 saw Rubicon host the first ever Girls Skate Comp with Lois Pendlebury taking 3rd, Sam Bruce 2nd and Helena Long 1st with Sam picking up some extra dollar for Best Trick with a frontside boardslide down the rail over the G gap into the bank.

15/06/08 Winchester locals, Rubicon sponsor and organise with Reskue Skate Shop, the Winch Jam 2008. Proper sick atmosphere, thanks to everyone that showed up and to the locals that organised it all. 29/01/08 Check out the slow motion carnage in the Lakai Fully Flared intro. Awesome lineup obviously. It's a big call, but many are saying the intro for Lakai's, Fully Flared skate video is the perfect blend of pyrotechnics, skate skills and photography. You decide.

25/01/08 Summer back-garden sessions? Use skate ramp plans to build your own mini half pipe, quarter, grind box, launch ramp etc. All you'll need is a bit of wood, a bit of time and you can create your own custom style object. DIY just got interesting.
