SKATEBOARD LESSONS
We are the biggest providers of skateboard lessons in the UK. Our team of regional instructors provide skateboard tuition on a daily basis to boys and girls of all ages and abilities – through primary and secondary schools and council run events. We will travel to you, bring all the equipment you need and because all our instructors have unrivalled experience, are fully insured and are CRB checked, you can have peace of mind that you will learn in a fun and safe environment. SKATEBOARD EVENTS
We have helped schools, councils, shops, parks and companies organise great skateboarding events involving demonstrations, competitions, performers, music and stalls. Whether you are looking to run a sports day, a fund-raising event, a launch event for your shop, a promo session for your new park or just add a bit of fizz to your corporate event, we can help. With professional riders available to come along and put on a show you will never forget, we can also take care of insurance issues as well as bringing equipment, lights, music etc. We can even bring product samples to throw into the crowds!!
SKATEBOARD CAMPS
We run the UK’s first and only week long residential skateboard camps. They are a chance for younger skaters to visit the cream of British skateparks, learn new skills and tricks, make new friends and basically submerge themselves in the UK skate scene. Taking the form of an all-inclusive holiday, the camps are based near Coventry and the premiere accommodation is the Norton Cabin with all food, entry to skateparks, non-stop tuition included. An amazing experience for boys and girls, aged 10+ who are looking to take their skateboarding to the next level in a brilliant fun environment. SKATERGIRL
Rubicon is hugely committed to supporting the girls skateboard scene. Our website SkaterGirl is the number one website for girls skateboarding in the world and provides daily news, videos, interviews, pictures, fashion, results, camps and tours. With a massive readerbase and regular competitions, it is the only place you need to visit for girls skateboarding. In addition to this, Rubicon also sponsors girls skateboarding competitions and events, as well as both up and coming and established riders. For example, 2009 saw Rubicon sponsor the girls events at NASS Festival and the UK Championships and send top UK rider Lucy Adams to Sweden to compete (and win) and we also provided a girl specific skate camp.
SKATER OWNED SHOPS
Skater Owned Shops are the lifeblood of the industry – supporting their local riders, hosting local comps, giving venues for video screenings and often getting new parks and facilities built and designed. Run by people who truly love skateboarding, these shops are the hub of the local skate scene and ensure that skateboarding grows in their community. Whether it’s offering advice to new skaters on products or sponsoring local rippers at larger comps and events – their involvement is crucial to skateboarding. Well, Rubicon has started the worlds first and only directory dedicated to these shops as a means of raising awareness and helping skaters find their nearest store.
